The Stalker is back....

what an absolutely cracking end to home and away yesterday. It sent shivers down my spine seeing Zoe again and i'm looking forward to another few months of edge of the seat viewing.....hope his world cup doesn't interfere with it.

will RTE even show Home& Away during the WC? maybe on RTE1 at lunchtime but prob not in the evening.....anyone know for sure?

I am fuming I missed this yesterday, bandage sent me a text but I spent too long on this stupid message board in work so I had to stay in till seven. Raging with myself now.

Was also in til seven and was pissed when I got the text from bandage. Haven't seen it in about three weeks due to work. Had brought a VCR down from Galway but couldn't hook it up because I'm stupid. Seriously annoyed now.

This is what H&A needed - storylines were quite boring a few weeks ago but Flynn's plight coupled with Zoeve's reappearance should illuminate the show. No more overtime for me.

A story comes to mind

We had a meeting at work one day as five new juniors had joined our group. The point of it was for everyone to get to know who was in the group. The partner and two managers were there. Bandage, who thankfully has left the group now, was asked to introduce himself. Those who had spoken before him said their name and what area they worked in. Bandage said his name and said that he liked Celtic and Home and Away.

It was worth hearing him and Lyonsee rambling on about Home and Away for months just for that moment.

Another cracking episode yesterday. Got very excited by the new start when I didn't see Dan in it but then he appeared the big fool.

Must say that I think Kate Ritchie is a fantastic actress and definitely my favourite soap character of all time. Love the way she still calls Alf, 'Mr Stewart' after all these years.

Like the new doctor as well, it'll be interesting to see what storylines she finds herself in.

Was disappointed not to catch a glimpse of the Stalker but it just increases the sense of anticipation.

i hope this storyline lives up to the previous one, although it's going to be difficult considering we know who the stalker is.

I've just watched today's episode on my laptop (thanks Rock) and Hogan's ghost it was absolutley fantastic. Edge of the seat stuff. Suspect I'll be downloading for the afternoon. One fix every 24 hours just isn't enough.

Thanks for that Lyonsee - hadn't planned on logging in today but such was the quality of last night's episode plus the joyous scenes in Athens I felt obliged to discuss matters with the forum. I gave Home and Away a standing ovation at the end yesterday - yet again wonderfully written, directed, produced and acted. I'm not ashamed to say I shed a tear as I finished composing my poem at 12.37am last night.

Doctor Flynn Saunders - RIP.

May your courage, empathy and bravery live on in those you have left behind.

I don't want to prejudge anything, and it's certainly far too early to be thinking of filling the professional void left by Flynn's departure but I felt Kim was in good hands yesterday. Something to keep my spirits up at a terrible time for the Bay.

Another thought - is Dan still employed by the school? Is Tasha still a student? Why the hell isn't Dan doing his job and warning her about the perils of cult life? I have always despised Dan for many reasons but his professional incompetence is staggering. Angus Deayton was sacked from Have I Got News For You because the BBC producers argued that a man who was the subject of news scandal could not be involved in satirising the news. The same must hold true for Dan Baker. A man who is so troubled and tormented in his own life should not be responsible for advising others.

Agree totally. Dan Baker is a nothing character and is crap at his job. He's added absolutely nothing to the show and should be replaced forthwith. We've got rid of the boring Hunter - we need Baker out of there too. The new doc looks promising too - I see from the pictures at the start she's likely to move in with Leah though I wouldn't mind if Leah and Dan fooked off to the city to save their marriage and never came back.

Another cracking twist at the end of Home and Away yesterday. Just when you think there's going to be a lull after the incredible Australian season finale they go and confound me yet again. Wonderful stuff.

Some typical Summer Bay moments too over the last couple of days especially when Peter Baker stared at his brother's estranged wife, their eyes met and then they just awkwardly changed the subject. Next day Peter approaches the bird to talk to her and to clear the air after what had happened. Only in Home and Away does looking at someone amount to cheating. Then there's the guy Tony that wants to bang the awful Beth Hunter - I've taken a terrible disliking to him with his boring manner constantly offering advice and seeking to reason with people he's only known 5 minutes. Sort yourself out son.

I remember him now I think - (from Backtothebay)
Luke Cunningham has a different life: his 'alternative', slightly hippy appearance hides a sharp intellect but despite his laid back attitude to life, he is fit and energetic, being a keen cyclist and a general all-round sports fan.

Luke has completed a Dip Ed at a city university where, along with gaining his teaching diploma, he developed a healthy disrespect for the system, and the unwritten law that gives people authority and power for what they are, not because they have earned it. Consequently everyone was viewed equal in his eyes, no matter what their title and material possessions.

Luke could not believe his luck when he got the post of Maths, Biology and Geography teacher at Summer Bay High straight out of uni. When he arrived, a few weeks early and skint, he started busking to supplement his income, which raised a few eyebrows. However, Luke is an accomplished saxophonist who is not too worried by his offbeat appearance, and does not have to prove anything to anyone.

Luke fell in love with Roxy, another teacher.

His brother, Bill, arrived in the Bay. Luke felt responsible for causing an accident which ended in Bill being mentally disabled, and had to look after him. He was so preoccupied with him, that the relationship between him and Roxy had to be called off. Despite this, they were good friends and they shared the beach house with Irene.

When Fisher's daughter, Rebecca, arrived in the Bay, Tug tried to set Luke up with her. Luke was not interested initially, but gave in. However, Fisher was not happy and told him to back off. Luke did so for a while, but then ignored him and Rebecca found out.

Luke left the Bay in 1994

Regrettably RTE have been screening Home and Away in the afternoons but not in the evenings so far this world cup. However tonight is the last night when the evening episode won't be on. From tomorrow the evening episodes return.

SALLY
There’s not much more I can tell you. Dr. Matthews was absolutely certain. He’s only got a few hours left.

CASSIE
What? No?

SALLY
He’s not in any pain, but the force has taken away the energy he needed to keep going.

CASSIE
No, it can’t be true. It’s too soon. No, Ric, there must be something we can do. Can’t you ask Dr. Matthews again?

ALF
You heard what he said Cass.

CASSIE
Well I don’t care. The doctor doesn’t know. Flynn can’t go yet. We haven’t had enough time.

ALF
Look, you knew this was coming. It’s OK to get emotional. You have to do this in the right way, for Flynn.

CASSIE
I’m sorry.

LEAH
It’s OK.

CASSIE
I just love him so much. The thought of saying goodbye. I know.

LEAH cuddles CASSIE. FLYNN is lying in his bed.
ALF
Sal.

SALLY
Sorry.

ALF
Do you need anything? Do you want us to stay or to go?

SALLY
Stay. He needs me.

SALLY walks out and stops at the bottom of the stairs. FLYNN is lying in his bed. SALLY walks in. She lies on the bed and they cuddle.
CASSIE
It’s all just happened so fast.

RIC, CASSIE, LEAH and ALF are sitting at the table.
CASSIE
He was supposed to have more time.

LEAH
Sometimes it’s impossible to know.

CASSIE
But his, doctors, it’s their job to know.

LEAH
But something’s are out of control. I think we need to believe there’s a bigger plan in all of this.

CASSIE
A plan? What sort of plan would hurt him and take him away from us?

RIC stands up and starts walking out.
CASSIE
Where are you going?

RIC
Out.

ALF
Mate, hang on a tick.

RIC
I just need a bit of space.

CASSIE gets up to follow him.
ALF
Cass, let him go love.

CASSIE
But he’s.

ALF
Just let him deal with this in his own way for now, OK. He’ll be back.

SALLY and FLYNN are lying in the bed.
FLYNN
I need to speak with the kids. Please.

ALF, CASSIE and LEAH, who is holding PIPPA are downstairs. RIC walks in.
CASSIE
Are you OK?

RIC
Cass.

CASSIE
Sorry. I was worried about you.

RIC
Well don’t be worried.

SALLY walks in.
ALF
How is he?

SALLY
He’s OK. Now, he’d like to see you guys, so who wants to go up first?

RIC sits down.
SALLY
Cassie.

CASSIE walks upstairs and into FLYNN’S room.
FLYNN
Hi.

CASSIE

How did you do that?

CASSIE
What?

FLYNN
How did trick Ric into going skinny dipping with you and then get away with stealing all his clothes. He has never told me the whole story. You know, that’s first time I heard of you. You were the girl who got Ric naked.

CASSIE starts laughing.
CASSIE
Aw, you know Ric. He’s pretty gullible. It wasn’t that hard.

FLYNN
You know what’s even more incredible, you made him look like such an idiot, but he could not stop talking about this amazing girl he had met. You know what’s more incredible, the way you always smile, the way you’re always happy. You’re always caring. You know, if my little Pippa grows up to be half of the woman you are, I’ll be very, very proud. I love you Cassie.

CASSIE
I love you too.

CASSIE and FLYNN cuddle. The time is now 11:06pm. SALLY, PIPPA, ALF, LEAH and CASSIE sit at the table.
CASSIE
I don’t know how he can be so calm. He was amazing. I didn’t think I could do it, but he made it kind of beautiful.

FLYNN
Yeah. Do you mind getting me a coldie?

ALF
Righto, now that we’ve got all that out of the way, how do you really feel?

FLYNN
I feel tired, it’s like there’s not a lot left, but I wouldn’t have got this far without you.

ALF
It’s nothing to do with me mate.

FLYNN
I don’t think you know the difference you’ve made to Sally over the past couple of months.

ALF
I couldn’t have stayed away if I wanted to. I’ve known that girl for eighteen years, can you believe it, and I tell you something, I’ve never, ever seen as happy as she’s been since she met you.

FLYNN
I do hope so.

ALF
I know so. Sal loves you to death mate. There’s no tomorrow.

FLYNN, SALLY and PIPPA are on the bed. RIC walks in.
RIC

FLYNN
It’s OK. I think it’s time Pippa went to bed.

SALLY

I have to say I only been watching H&A on and off recently. Used to watch all the time back in the day. Always liked Flynn though. I remember last year routing for him when he had the pill addiction. Himself and Sally were well matched and gutted when their marriage hit the rocky patch. Reading the above is emotional even for a small time H&A viewer.

That's a cracking bit as well. "I love you dad." What a line.
