Is it CSC and T Mobile chasing? Are Pereiro's crowd doing any work anymore?

CSC ant T mobile. Gap down to eight minutes. The peloton gained a minute on them on climb. into flat section now where they should gain more time on him

Sastre seems to be putting a bit of distance between himself and Kloeden and Pereiro and the others now.

Watched the highlights last night. Landis literally seemed to be going backwards and was suffering terribly. The perspiration was pouring off him as if he was in the shower or something. He looked in absolute bits. Considering that today’s effort must be one of the greatest sporting displays ever. To take that much time from the peleton when riding on your own is remarkable but to do so after the pain he ensured yesterday defies belief. That is some effort.

Quiet boring day today, no big climbs and nobody from the top ten in the main breakaway.
Really looking forward to the time trial tomortrow, it should be a cracker. The race might not even be over after tomorrow and the final stage around Paris could actually be raced properly as opposed to the usual (winner drinking champagne in the Peloton while the remaining sprinters try and win one last time). I certainly dont ever remember any proper racing in the final stage.
On another note, Ullrich has been fired by T-mobile.

There was that time when the last stage was a time trial to Paris and Le Mond pipped Fignon -but in general there's been no racing when it's been a normal stage. Indeed I think it's considered "unsporting" to attack on the last stage though Delgado tried it against Roche. I think he was criticised for it.

From BBC - Just when I thought my faith had been restored. I thought he simply had a terrible day and then staged a brave and remarkable comeback in the following stage. It appears I was wrong.
Landis gives positive drugs test Tour de France winner Floyd Landis has given a positive drugs test, according to his Phonak team.
The American, who claimed victory in the Tour de France on Sunday, has tested positive for the male sex hormone testosterone.
The positive test came after stage 17 of the Tour, which saw Landis record an epic victory after collapsing on the final climb the day before.
Landis has been suspended pending results of his B sample analysis.
The International Cycling Union (UCI) announced on Wednesday that a rider had failed a doping test but would not reveal his name.
"The Phonak Cycling Team was notified on Wednesday by the UCI of an unusual level of testosterone/epitestosterone ratio in the test made on Floyd Landis after stage 17 of the Tour de France," said a team statement.
"The team management and the rider were both totally surprised of this physiological result."

Just saw that - unbelievable. Very telling that it was after his extraordinary stage performance as well.

You're fine.
1. Once they've paid you the money they can't take it back. It's on your ladbrokes account but they've given it to you. 2. Most bookies pay out on first past the post anyway. None of them will be paying out on Inter to have won Serie A last season though that's the official result now.

landis looking good but he could blow at anytime. he has eaten practically nothing which eurosport can't believe. Seems he didnt need food after all, when he was apparnetly full of drugs. The reason he gave the day before when he crcked was that he hadn't eaten at all! Shame it ended like this, it was a cracking tour, more yellow jersey changes than in the past 10 years. real excitement and attacks from all over the place.

As was suggested before the tour began I think its time to let them all at it and then we can decide who the best cyclists are. It might be a case of who has the best drugs then but I suppose that will be like who has the best bikes or brakes etc.
With everyone on drugs they could up the ante to two stages a day and get the race over and done with in less than two weeks!
Just a thought!
