Feel free to mention someone I inadvertently missed out.
To me it's between Mr. Summer Bay Alf Stewart and his late wife Ailsa and Noah and Hayley. If pushed I'd have to go for Alf and Ailsa. Their relationship became even more poignant during Alf's sickness when he had flashbacks of Ailsa and it brought back many dear memories to myself also. I admired Noah's courage and conviction to overcome his battle with the dreaded grog. Who will ever forget those two episodes when he was drinking stubbies on the beach? Then when he won Hayley over after much wooing I was delighted for him. I was equally gutted when their dreams of a wonderful life together were cruelly dashed by Noah's untimely death.

for me it'd have to be Tom and Pippa for it was their strong love which kept so many stricken foster kids from the streets. Who'll forget when Pippa, the blonde curly haired MILF, turned into a fat red head ? i must say that i for one, was gutted. you forgot to mention that blonde, who's now in Emmerdale and the headmaster of the school, what was his name again ??

Would you believe I was about to castigate you for not including Shane and Angel when I saw the sweethearts at the top.
They were the ultimate storyline - two giant egos forever clashing but christ there was chemistry between them. I was going to pore through the list and evaluate each couple on its respective merits but this is a matter of the heart so I just plumped for the pairing I'll forever hold dear in my heart.
Obviously Chloe was my all time favourite character but I never really liked any of her guys.

Yeah it was a shame when the old Pippa left. She was like that cool Aunt we all wanted to have. Can't believe I forgot Don and Marilyn - I actually had a lot of admiration for old Flathead deep down.

was that because you felt nobody was good enough for her except for you?

Flathead certainly knew how to run the school. I've grown to respect Hyde but he's certainly not as dominant a character as the Don. The ultimate compliment you can pay Don is to say that he was Alf's best mate. Nobody could ask for a finer judge of character.

For me you have to go old school on this one and vote Ben and Carly.....who in their right mind would vote for the oldies...no excitement for viewers in those relationships!

Generally I'd agree with you but I don't know anyone could fail to be moved by Alf and Ailsa on screen. It was remarkable how they came through that spell where Ailsa tried to turn everyone against Alf when he nearly pulled the plug on her in the hospital.

Have to go for Flynn and Sally. Sally would be my favourite character of all time. Although I used not like Flynn, I have really gotten a feel for his character and am gutted by Flynn and Sally's current tragic circumastances. Sally's speech to Alf yesterday was moving and if and when Flynn dies I suspect I will blubber.
Bandage, how can you even mention Noah and Hayley in the same breath as some of those other wonderful couples, most notably Alf and Ailsa? Noah was a great character. Hayley is a slut.

Following on from whyohwhy's concerns of classic threads getting lost I have decided to resurrect this one. Haley and Noah for me in this poll. Haley (the original) was hot and I always found it funny how Noah was considered ed to be an alcoholic for drinking two or three pints! Thats entertainment for you!
