Update: WE HAVE MOVED.
As some of ye may know (anyone who read the EPL thread which has veered off topic) there is a new forum on the way for thefreekick.com. I had promised WoW (who pestered me about it
) that the forum and related website development would be completed today (Thursday 17th). However I got hammered watching the Ireland match last night and was in no state for webbery afterwards. The result is a sort of half-finished forum on the main site.
Anyway the new forum will be completed this evening and should be availaible to everyone tomorrow. It will have a couple of additional features that I'm finalising but anyone with any suggestions or requests let me know here and I'll try and include them. Similarly if anyone has any thoughts on the main site at www.thefreekick.com let me know and I'll try and integrate them.
To answer some questions that will inevitably be asked (or were asked already):
-You will need to re-register
-I think ye will lose your respective post counts
-I think your karma will be retained
- The old threads won't be visible on the new site but this board will remain open for reference purposes
- The reason for the move is that at the moment the board is hosted by proboards and we have no control over the database. When we move the forum will be under our direct control so if we ever move in the future the forum will move with us. Obviously it is better to move now, than later when there are thousands of members who all need to re-register.
