Myself and my housemates have decided to hire a cleaner because frankly none of us can be bothered cleaning the place after a day in work. The weekend is not to be spent tidying the house either so some questions to those of you that employ a cleaner. What is the protocol in these matters? Do you trust the fookers and leave them in the house on their own after you fook off? Or should you be in the house as they clean? Is there cleaning agencies or do you a get a number from a notice board in Tesco? All advice appreciated.

I would be interested to know who has had experience in this area.
I certainly haven't.

we're going to be hiring somebody in the near future and i'll let you know how we get on. not sure but i think you just let them go at it, ie you don't need to be around when they are in cleaning. having just moved out, it was one of the first things we discussed , amazed that you have survived for so long without one to be honest.

Cully, let us know how you get on in your cleaner recruitment. We're thinking of a hot Polish bird at the moment but not sure how to go about it.

do these birds bring their own cleaning gear or would we have to provide the materials? i don't think we even have a mop and bucket (it's possible i brought it with me some night when i was cleaning up in Flannerys ) so fair fooks to her if she does a job on the bathroom.

A guy that worked with my brothers mate (loose connection I know!) had a foreign cleaner and apparantely she used to get naked to clean out the bath etc. She was a stunner by all accounts, only problem your man was a flamer so it was wasted on him.
Not sure how true this story is but if they were to advertise for 'Naked cleaners' I think you might be willing to pay an extra few shillings for the service!
Legendary!

My understanding is, you hang around the first couple of times they clean up to keep an eye on them. Some people give them a key after that, others always let them in, and then maybe leave the gaff to let them get on with it...keeping valuables out of sight.
Amazingly, I've never heard of a cleaner who cleans the bathroom starkers....are you sure that's not your imaginations letting loose?!

We haven't even allowed steamboatsam have a key yet and he lives in the house. Not sure how this one's going to pan out. Eagerly awaiting news from cully on this front.
