Given that the soccer's about to resume and the GAA is hotting up. Mine are:

Hurling: All Ireland: Cork All Ireland Club: Mount Sion, Waterford.
Football: All Ireland: Dublin All Ireland Club: Nemo Rangers, Cork
Golf: Ryder Cup: USA USPGA: David Toms
Think we can leave out cricket, rugby etc until nearer start of the winter tour / season but feel free to add any others.

Hurling: Don't know enough to comment. Would like an underdog such as Waterford (Am I correct in saying they are underdogs?).

Mayo have a one in 8 chance because they're in the last 8. It doesn't matter that there are still 12 teams left in the competition.
