Back on thefreekick after a two week absense. I have thrawled through the threads and have so much to say but I think I'll start here.
Before the WC I took Rock's 'crazy' bet of a fiver at 50/1 that Germany would win the WC and Klose would finish top scorer. No way could that happen says me. And here I am, a week from the end of the WC, with Germany in the semis and Klose having seemingly wrapped up top scorer. D'oh is all I can say.
I am no longer in the business of making predictions but if Germany and England get to the final, it is nightmare situation for me. Without a shadow of a doubt I will be cheering on the Krauts but I will not be happy that I am cheering on open wallet surgery for me. Still I took the bet, put my money where my mouth is, and I have to live with the consequences.
Klose has really impressed me in the tournament. He has displayed a predator's instinct which I did not think he possessed. He, as it stands, has scored 10 goals in two WCs. Enough said.
If I could get that Pekerman dude I would kill him......
