Paraguay knocked Germany out in the second round...

Croatia had 2 sparklers up front with Vuckovic- delighted
Runners up in the Finals.
1 Klum GERMANY
2 Barros BRAZIL
3 Nemcova CZECH REPUBLIC
4 Hayek MEXICO
5 Nordegren SWEDEN
England yet again had a valiant effort- but on reflection no substance (abuse) underneath it all.
Disappointed with Brazil this year.

Brazil beat Germany in a cracking final played in a mixture of searing heat and torrential downpours.

Brazil beat Ecuador in the final, but Brazil had by far the tougher route through, defeating Spain and Mexico in very tight games. Had to replay the tournament after an initial victory for Croatia over Brazil, who had scraped past Mexico in the semis. Not for the fact that it was far too close to eamo’s taste ... Croatia for me... beat Brazil in the final who beat Mexico on penos in the semis ... but on the basis that Croatia had entered under false pretences. Not sure if you were all aware, but the Croatian song on Saturday night was performed by the very same Severina Vuckovic who represents them in this tournament as well, and on viewing the former competition I had to rule her out from World Cup contention. Imo not even the hottest performer in Eurovision, that was the Russian. No, only kidding, the Ukrainian (see the Eurovision thread for details). Very disappointed with the US selection. SMG has never fulfilled the promise shown at the start of her career, and imo should have made way for someone more naturally gifted (eg Jessica Alba) or at least someone who could be guaranteed to give 100% (eg Paris Hilton). Have I said “imo” enough times? |

IMO the fact that your name is attributed to each post, it is safe to assume that the contents is in fact your opinion, not to be confused with anybody else's, but that's just my opinion on the subject.
