Keno was really on song (pardon the pun) last night. A consumate performance in every way. The longing look into the camera to complement the lyrics he was singing, the kneeling down signified both pleading with his love to come back to him but also a plea for votes. the turning around to sing a verse to his backing singers to make them feel part of the team and the final flourishing finish on the high note showing the versatility and quality of his voice. A wonderful, wonderful performance and it just went to show that's the type of performer we needed to be sending rather than the McCauls, Harte and their ilk. Now we've got our pride back but I know Keno's not just satisfied with that. We can win it now - as you guys have said 21st is a cracking slot to be in. We'll be fresh in everyone's memory come voting time. 1970, 1980, 1988, 1992, 1993, 1994, 1996. Maybe 2006? Come on the Ireland.

Fantastic contest. Delighted to see the Finns win, just fo the fact that they made no compromises to what is expected of a "Eurovision song". Similarly glad to see the Lithuanians do well. Great drama in our successful fight for 10th place too, thought we were safe with about 10 juries to go, when we had about 73 and the Turks about 38, but by the end another Balkan jury and the Turks would have had us. Imo good to see the maturity in our dealings with the UK as well, as we exchanged 8 points each, as opposed to previous years where they gave us 12 and we thumbed our noses at them. Don’t forget to thank any Monegasques you come across for giving us our highest score of the night (10 points). Thought the UK and Latvia (the a capella 6-man boyband) were under-appreciated and that Russia and Bosnia over-achieved (plenty of obsequious or guilty neighbours?). The Ukraine confirmed the excellent impression I had after the semi, these pics of Tina Karol don’t do justice but were the best I could find:

Good entertainment all round although i have to say the semi final had a better totty count than the final.......that said, the Moldovan entry was an absolute CRACKER.
Another great performance from BK and though he was never going to win with that type of ballad, he has restored our pride.
Voting was yet again a piss take and for the long term future of this fantastic competition something has to be done about the political voting. In fairness it didn't affect the actual winner, but many other very good songs didn't get a look in because of it.
Fair play to the Lithuanians........deserved their placing for pure novely value alone. "We are the winners.......of Eurovision. Vote for the winners...."

Speaking of quality lyrics, appreciated Lordi's line "On the day of rockoning" (sic) Agree with all points made there, & although I prefer the Ukrainian, don't know how I overlooked Natalia Gordienko of Moldova:
