and money is not a problem - who would it be?!
Wexford hurlers: Always have a decent set of backs but struggle from 8-15 onwards. In particular lack a world class forward - who's the best forward in the world? Eoin Kelly of Tipperary that's who. He'd give us the impetus to challenge anybody.
Wexford footballers: Again, a decent defensive unit. Over reliance on Forde for scores and a chronic inability to win first phase ball in midfield. Who's a good ball winning midfield player that marauds forward to score oceans of points? Yes, Sean Cavanagh of Tyrone would solve two problems in one go.
Celtic: Need a strong central defender as priority but the Celtic way is to attack. A defender can wait - I'd take Ronaldinho without question.
Ireland footballers: See Celtic.
Manchester City: See Celtic and Ireland.
Ireland cricketers: Happy they have Afridi for the one dayers this summer as he can destroy teams on his own with the bat and his spin bowling will be useful. Not sure I'd pick him if I'd the choice of any player to add to our World Cup squad though. Think our batting will be fine, we've a few decent spin options but we lack a good strike bowler, a good quick. I'd take Brett Lee for the laugh.
England and Wales cricketers: Need a world class spinner. Shane Warne is the greatest cricketer, never mind spin bowler, to walk this earth. He'd be in my team.
Leinster Laigheans: I don't think we need to strengthen as we're world class and will win the European Cup and would definitely beat the Super 12 or 14 champions or whatever it's called too.

Dublin hurlers: Conal Keaney to transfer from football
Dublin football: Mattie Forde - need a regular source of points
Celtic: Ronaldinho and McGeady in the same team would be awesome, might shade it over Kenny Miller or Gary Caldwell
Ireland: Fabregas
Ireland cricket: Ed Joyce
Australia cricket: Dravid
Munster: Brian O Driscoll

In order of closeness to my heart:
Eslin Bridge: Seamus Quinn out of retirement, failing that Barry McWeeney, best half back in the country (not county)
Leitrim: The Tyrone full forward line from last year's all Ireland, namely O'Neill, Canavan (retired I know) and Mulligan. Sorry only one allowed, then Steven McDonnell. We need an entire new forward line, Declan Maxwell apart
Ireland soccer: Who is the nearest midfielder to Roy Keane at his best? Ill plump for Xavi Alonso
Liverpool: A guarannteed goalscorer - Van Nistelrooy

Dr. Crokes: The County title and Intermediate Hurling County title
Kerry Football: A thug rugby league type player, maybe Keith Senior, for our half back line. Tadgh Kenneally to come home, Maurice Fitzgerald to be 6 years younger!
Kerry Hurlers: The Cork Hurlers.
Munster Rugby: Darcy (Glenda wouldnt move from West Britain)
Ireland Rugby: Props, Props, Props, maybe some Props, how about some Props (preferably quarter Limerick, quarter Maori, quarter Maurice Fitzgerald and quarter Moss Keane) and an irish passport for c*ntemoani.
Irish Rowing: Some money.
Irish Soccer: Anything.
Irish Cricket: Who f*cking cares.

Galway United: Goals a real problem these days. I'd go for Henry. More realistically if I had to pick an Eircom League player it would probably be Jason Byrne or John O'Flynn.
Liverpool: Similar to GUFC, goals are a real problem. Henry and a sharp Robbie Fowler would be absolutley irresistible.
Ireland soccer: Worried about a central defensive partner for Richie Dunne and central midfield as a whole. At centre-half I'd pick Puyol. Midfield I'll go for Patrick Vieira. Would be more worried about central midfield so would pick Vieira over Puyol.
Galway football: Not sure we have what it takes in midfield (although I'll hold my hand up and say I don't know a whole lot about football). I'll pick Ciaran Whelan because I've been told he's the best footballer in the country.
New York Knicks: Allan Iverson - this guy is magic.
Irish Davis Cup team: Roger Federer.

Limerick Footballers: Declan Browne (If Limerick only had him in 2003 and 2004). Limerick need a clinical forward and I guess Colm Cooper might be a better bet, but I'd love to see Declan Browne on a good team. Limerick Hurlers: Eoin Kelly. Again Limerick are badly in need of a clinical forward to go with a very solid defense. 10-15: Niall Moran, Stephen Lucey, Mike O'Brien, Mark Keane, Brian Begley (maybe????) and Eoin Kelly Irish Soccer Team: Michael Essien (Bolster midfield and protect back four at same time) Boston Red Sox: Albert Pujols (put him at first base and batting fifth. Move Youk to third base and bench Lowell).

Irish Soccer Team: Michael Essien (Bolster midfield and protect back four at same time)
laughed at that one, i thought it was agreed that he was overhyped and fairly useless even at protecting the back four ? offers zero in attack also.
ireland cricket - a fit and in-form jason molins and the return of ed to the one day game and all we'd need would be a strike bowler to get us a start. ideally i'd go for akhtar but realistically freddie would be perfect as he's an allrounder and also a character whom the irish public would gag for and thereby increase those attracted to the game
ireland rugby - some props and a footballing outhalf. but as i can only pick one i'd go for carlos spencer at ten, have o'gara in reserve to drill the corners and play the boring rugby when needs be but carlos running that back line would be pure magic
