I take your point about there being a lack of follow-through but O'Briens books aren't 4-4-2 books. They're gamier than that, something like 3-4-3 or 3-5-2. The mollycule theory and the casket theory are just little flights of fancy that are littered throughout the book just to give the reader a bit of a smile. That's all. Nice metaphor. I think I occasionally find O'Brien to be the literary equivalent of Cristiano Ronaldo. But I admit his good moments are very good.

That and they have a great soundtrack which never hurts. I know it's a bit of a cliché, but the OC's soundtrack is often excellent nonetheless. Thought the version of "Fall at your feet" they kept playing in the episode where the surfer guy is drunk on top of the cliff was outstanding. By the way, anyone willing to own up to voting for CSI?

Prison break, last night, second episode. What do people think of it? Think its fairly ridiculous myself (then again i do like Lost, which is uber-ridiculous).
Apparently, the plot gets worse and worse as his plan falls apart and he has to come up with more ridiculous escape plans the whole time.

Missed the first episode but saw it last night and was pretty impressed but i'll give it another couple of episodes before making a final decision. The only worry is that if it's a huge success it will just be dragged out for a second (and possibly 3rd) series like Lost and then i'll just lose interest.

I wasn't willing to commit myself to it last week. Waited for it come on but just before it started I thought to myself "I'll never watch this every week" so I just abandoned it already. Series 2 is on the States next "fall" so I reckon they'll drag it out forever.

How good was Sopranos last night? Some of the Vito related exchanges were superb.
Bobby Bacchala: 'His body was found with a pool cue jammed up his ass.' Chris: 'A lover's quarrel perhaps?'
Classis stuff.

I love that Australian show that used to be on Comedy Channel, Trailer Park Boys, hilarious stuff. Introduces you too the ultimate wrestler "The Green Bastard"! Don't know of anyone else who followed that, needed to give it a few shows before you could enjoy it. For anyone interested Trailer Park Boys is being shown on Channel 6 at the moment. Tuesday nights at 10.30. Give it a chance lads, I know it looks complete shite at first but its very funny imo. DT PS. Probably one for the celeb spotting thread but they were filming The Clinic in the basement of my apartment complex today and I saw the hot bird Keelin Geraghty (it took me a while to get her name on the web). I think I ruined a scene by driving my car out in the middle of a shoot. Take 25 please! Never really got into that show. Is it any good? Its no Glenroe I suspect.
