Have had a bit of a debate with some friends recently over which Hayley is preferable. My vote went to Bec. To me she was Hayles whereas ESL is Hayley and an imposter Hayley at that. I find her voice annoying especially the way she says Irene with a special emphasis on the 'I' sound. Granted it could just be inertia on my part. It did take me a long while to come round to the new Flynn but I did like new Pippa and new Natalie so maybe it's just ESL.
Hayley's character as a whole is a trifle annoying. And Scott's character coupled with Kip Gamblin's acting ability or lack thereof makes me want to throw things at the TV. Hopefully the focus will move away from this storyline to Sally and Flynn and the possible re-emergence of the stalker.

Having said that I was warned that the new Hayles was a bit of a munter and I think that's a little unfair. She's not as pretty a picture as Bec but she's not a complete hound. I agree with most of what you've said except you've completely understated the dismal banality of Scott. Worst character to ever grace the Bay.

No, I think Dan is the worst character ever. Him and Leah should not be allowed have children.

No, I think Dan is the worst character ever. Him and Leah should not be allowed have children. Fate is now playing its part in their struggles in having a child. I don't use the word 'hate' lightly as I think it's an unhealthy emotion to have. But I hate Dan and Scott. They are both so incredibly lifeless, dull and all round disgraces to lads everywhere. Do ridiculously boring lads like Scott really score crackers like Dannii, Hayles and Amanda? Dan is nearly as insipid but at least he's with a munter like Leah. That's why he doesn't antagonise me as much as Scott who I despise terribly. Ridiculous yesterday where they're introducing a 'Dan used to have a gambling addiction' storyline. As if a boring idiot like him would be out having a laugh. If I had one bullet and Scott and Dan were standing in front of me I'd turn the gun on myself rather than having to put up with two idiots like them. I'm warming to the new Hayley. She's no Bec but she'd do for me.

No, I think Dan is the worst character ever. Him and Leah should not be allowed have children. I half agree with you - I hate Dan and I hate any stories that revolve around him and I think he's a pathetic counsellor and not fice to lace Noah's boots. Having said that I still consider him a blow-in to the Bay and I keep thinking to myself "Ah he'll be leaving soon." Not that it's very likely with the current storylines but I do hold out hope that he won't be sticking around for years and years so I just hate him when he's on screen. Not Scott Hunter though. Somebody brought up Home and Away last week in the pub and I was foaming at the mouth when I thought of Scott. Ever since that drab fecker rode into the Bay on the stallion I've hated him for every second on-screen and off.

you're all being way too harsh (about everything but dan). leah isn't a munter..although if you look at her really closely sometimes it's clear she has a lot of facial hair. i find it hard to believe that she chose staying with stick-on stubble dan instead of going back with vinny. it's a disgrace. rebecca cartwright was an atrocious actress. one of the worst ever, i hated her. ella scott lynch may not have the pretty blonde hair and fabulous figure but at least she can act. Scott is a bit of a ponce but he's better than kim. the whole storyline is ridiculous anyway. is it really realistic that Josie knows scotts the father and she and tash haven't been in any contact since she left the bay. And in relation to the scott scoring 'crackers' like Amanda- she's not a cracker - she's hidious.

Amanda- she's not a cracker - she's hidious. Presumably your term "hidious" differs to the more common term "hideous" (meaning "horrible" or "disgusting") and means "long blonde hair, stunning facial features, great tan and extremely fit body"; If so then i agree, Amanda is indeed hidious.

Never have I read something and disagreed with it so strongly (bar the Dan part). I think you must be a girl given your defence of Leah. I hate it when girls say that their obviously ugly, munterish friends are pretty or whatever. Then there's the opposite with Amanda - she is a nasty character but there's no denying her hotness. It is indisputable. I won't even comment on the slight on Bec's acting ability. She will always be an icon of the Bay. So there!

Must say I wouldn't rate Amanda that highly - there has been so much better in the Bay over the years. Currently I think we're fairly starved of talent and perhaps Amanda is the best of a bad lot. I like her boobs though.
The likes of Isla Fisher, Tammin Sursok, Kristy Wright and indeed Bec Cartwright put Holly Brinson to shame. The aforementioned are all natural hotties whereas Amanda is all slap. Having said that she is far superior to Ada Nicomedou (sic?).

Funnily enough your man Neelo of TG4 fame when asked to pick his ultimate bird in the entire world chose Leah. I couldn't believe it and still can't fathom it. To make matters worse he called her the girl from the Matrix - as though a bit part role in a movie would eclipse a starring role in Home and Away.

As I recall, Ada was reasonably okay when she was in Heartbreak High back in the day. Now, she not good at all.

I never actually said that leah was pretty or gorgeous. i just said that munter was a bit strong-which i still stand by. i certainly wouldn't make an argument for her being one of the bay's lookers. maybe you should try actually reading my post again. amanda looks like she's spent a fortune on plastic surgery - she'd rival michael jackson. there's nothing natural about her. ok she's stereotypically goodlooking and she's got a wonderfully toned - i do nothing but work out and eat a very statigically planned diet - body but everything about her is really fake. i know her character is nasty but i'm not for one second confusing the type of person she is with her physical attributes. you can't deny that ella scott lynch is naturally more beautiful than amanda. cartwright couldn't act her way out of a paper bag.

Apologies if I misconstrued your post. I would rather a fit, blond like Amanda (even if she does look fake) than a hairy ogre like Leah. I know Amanda's not classically pretty like a Kristy Wright but she is hot. We'll have to agree to disagree on Bec. She's been through so many emotions during her time in the Bay and all of them conveyed wonderfully imo. I do think ESL is pretty but my only worry is that boring loser Hunter will destroy her character like what happened with Dannii Sutherland.

you know - i used to argue with 'lyonsee' that kristy wright was gorgeous and he used to vehemently disagree. i know there were times when she was a bit chunky but she was really pretty. i really liked the her and Kane storyline at the beginning. imagine..falling for the fella that raped your sister. talk about dramatic tension. leah is actually driving me bananas at the moment. how many times does she have to get really excited about being pregnant (or being impregnated) only to have to tell the whole bay that she actually isn't again. tool.

You're confusing Kristy Wright who played Chloe with Kirsty Sutherland - can't remember her real name. Wasn't a great fan but near the end of her time I suddenly thought she wasn't that bad. It was never actually said what Kane did to Dannii - just implied - I thought that odd at the time.

apparently they filmed it as a rape storyline and then decided to make it an ambiguous - who's telling the truth kind of thing. i read an interview with tammin sursok where she expressed annoyance at the way they did it cause she thought some of the scenes they ommitted were some of her "best acting work". apologies for the mistake. kristy wright was gorgeous but she had strangely shaped ears.
