Following on from a game myself and lyonsee have been playing lately I think we should put all celebrity spots in this thread.
An impressive treble last night. Ryan Tubridy walking down the side street by Kehoe's off Grafton Street on the way to Cocoon with a male companion, doing a lot of pointing to make sure everyone noticed him and wearing a mustard jacket with brown arm patches.
The best came in a pair though. In that new venue on Harcourt Street (Cooper Face Jacks) Kev of The Late Late Toy Show and Stream fame drinking with Brian Ormond of You're A Star and Pop Idol fame. Went up to Ormond, shook his hand and said 'It's an absolute honour to meet someone who drinks with Kev from the Toy Show'.

Fudge it I'm well and truly behind. Here's hoping there'll be a celeb or two at the Salthill fives. Ex-QPR and Irish international legend Paul 'Ski' McGee count as a celeb? My mate and our goalkeeper for the tourney used to star in Ros na Ruin and now is one of the stars of Adharca Fada - does he count?

Apparantly Gary Kelly was with Brian Ormonde in Coppers as well. One of my mates was talking to him, sound man by all accounts.
The same guy got his picture taken snogging Anne Doyle in Coppers last night as well.
Coppers really was the place to be last night.

Saw Gavin Friday (on Wednesday suprisingly enough) outside the Wellington on Baggot Street. Also saw Kev in Bar 51 after the Ireland game last Wednesday week - must stop stalking him.

Bandage, You forgot to mention that guy from I'm an adult get me out of here who was drinking beside us outside Kehoes last night. Here's a link if you want to know what he looks like. I know you had a few too many last night! Plus the fact that he's probably a D-list celeb! www.rte.ie/tv/imanadult/

Couple of weeks ago Eamon Dunphy was in the Harbourmaster. I went in at half five and he was in there - hammered. We stood outside drinking and he was out smoking. We didn't get a chance to say anything to him and I wasn't nearly locked enough.
That was the second time I saw him there. Before Christmas 2004, he was in there as well. There was a Christmas party for Newstalk upstairs. For those of you familiar with the Harbourmaster, we were sitting at the seat directly at the foot of the stairs. Then all of a sudden one of the lads shouts 'There's Dunphy'. We all started imitating him then and he starts talking back emphasising the bits we had imitated. He seems to be up for the craic.
Good moment

I also seem to recall getting a few free drinks out of that christmas party. Quality!

Saw Seoige last night. She was sitting outside the Conrad with a group of people eating a snack box...I kid you all not. Absolute stunner in the flesh she is.
Popey was at another table and on my way home I saw the Hookster (a big man with a big Matthew Kelly on him).

Sam Smyth was in the beer garden outside the Harbourmaster yesterday. He was doing an interview along with about three others, presumably about Haughey. They had all the lights and microphones there. A fellow forum member said that he thought it was Noel Thompson on Hearts and Minds fame doing the interview but I didnt see him.

Eamo, you are officially a divvie- those lights & cameras were for Noel Thompson, of BBC NI- I'm guessing its for the excellent political show, Hearts & Minds, although the 2 birds being interviewed are non-entities, dying to tune in tonight to see who he was interviewing, although Eamo, it could be one of those media circus ring arounds, whereby everyone interviews these punks, although think it was Noel's show from his demeanor

To partially, but not wholly, redeem Eamo the divvie, Sam Smyth may of been part of the interview, but he was not doing the interview- it was the up'n'at'them weapon Noel Thompson- he's more a draw than Sam Smyth..... the BBC NI stickers on the camera may have given him a clue

Few lads that were sharing the same set of apartments as us in Crete last week said they were talking to Petrov from Celtic in one of the Irish bars in Hersonnises one of the nights.
I also saw Dara O'Brian walking ouside Q bar there a few weeks back. He's not as heavy as he looks on TV but is very tall.
One of my mates saw George Hamilton walking along Nassau Street talking to some bird a few weeks back as well.

Why don't you get your mate to join the forum and let him tell us of his so called celeb sightings himself!! I think this thread should be kept for personal sighting only! Smite for that (assured to be smited back for this post!)

George Hamilton probably saw Johnny Giles later on so should we include him too?

Bryan McFadden and Nicky Byrne playing 5-a-side soccer in Portmarnock on Naomh Mearnóg's piches last night. They won their game on a penalty shoot out. Byrne scored his (right foot, good power and in off the inside of the left hand post as he looks at it, McFadden didn't take one).

And spotted again last night - McFadden and Byrne playing in the same soccer tournament on a GAA pitch. There's a five a side soccer blitz on in Portmarnock this week and we've reached the semi-finals now and we're playing against those lads tonight. Byrne isn't bad (played in goals for Leeds underage teams), McFadden doesn't look up to much but they have a few other punters on the team that are quality.
Anybody have any sledging comments that I might say to McFadden or Byrne when I'm marking them?
